What a wonderful time in Portugal with CDV. We didn't go to any of the touristy places; we spent time being immersed in the culture and cuisine of Portugal. Staff was so caring and genuine.

This was my second trip with CDV having travelled to Radda/Chianti last year. I cannot say enough good things about the guide, Renata, who helped me immensely when my flight from the USA was cancelled. CDV had a driver ready to pick me up at the airport and take me directly to join the tour group. He then took my luggage to the hotel and checked me in with the staff. Now, that is what I call excellent customer care.
We spent the next 7 days immersed in Portuguese culture and food. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at all of the cooking lessons. Thank you so much to Marta, Isabella, and Fernanda for opening their homes to us and allowing us to be a part of their families. I found the people of Portugal to be genuine, kind, educated and willing to share their country and culture with us. All of the vendors we interacted with were fantastic and provided us with a great experience and treated us fairly and with respect.
I loved the hotel. It was quiet, comfortable, and away from the tourist area. It was easy to reach the tourist area and the ATMs, etc. after a short 5-minute walk. The food and service at the hotel was excellent.
Aside from Port wine, I was not overly familiar with Portuguese wines. Wow, it was a great experience. I also loved the seafood. I live in an area away from the ocean, so having fresh seafood was a real feast for me.
Our drivers were great and thank you for getting us safely to our locations and back to our hotel.
Aside from the people I've already mentioned, thank you to Joao, Nadia, and all the other CDV team members who made this trip wonderful. Thank you to family members who showed us a new culture and were never too busy to answer questions.
I love traveling with CDV and I'm already looking at what adventures wait ahead of me.
